My hope for tonight: that the Imus firing isn't the lead story on the national news like it has been for the last two days. It disgusts me that the media has wasted so much time on this story. What Imus said was bad. Okay. He should be punished. Check. He got fired. He should not use racially charged terms. Forgive and forget. You may not think it is that simple, but I do. There are many more things we should concern ourselves with.
How nice are our lives if all we can do is talk about some radio host's three nasty words for days on end while ignoring everything else?
